I do the research so you don’t have to.
Clear, evidence-informed answers to the health, technology, culture, and business questions getting attention.
Beyond the Buzz Media looks beyond headlines, marketing, and confident claims to what the strongest relevant evidence actually supports, what remains uncertain, and what it means in practice.
Short, evidence-informed episodes — usually around 10 minutes.
Beyond the Buzz is the flagship recurring podcast from Beyond the Buzz Media: short, evidence-informed episodes examining health, technology, culture, and business questions already attracting meaningful public attention.
Each week, Dr. Tara Moroz does the research so you don’t have to — finding and weighing the relevant evidence and translating it into a clear, practical bottom line.
Every Beyond the Buzz episode is accompanied by The Evidence Edit, featuring the full transcript, complete references, and what the evidence still can't tell us.
Why Beyond the Buzz?
New ideas capture our attention for a reason. They promise to make something better, easier, healthier, or more interesting. And sometimes they deliver.
Beyond the Buzz explores what makes those possibilities compelling, follows the strongest relevant evidence, and brings the findings back to everyday life.
The reward isn't just knowing what holds up. It's gaining the perspective to decide what's genuinely worth your attention.
Meet Tara Moroz, PhD
Beyond the Buzz is created and hosted by Dr. Tara Moroz — scientist and communicator with decades of experience translating complex human research into clear, evidence-informed insight.
Tara’s broader background spans 25 years of scientific and strategic work across Canadian, U.S., and global roles. She created Beyond the Buzz to bring the same discipline she used in scientific and strategic settings to the high-attention questions people encounter in everyday life: find the relevant evidence, weigh its strengths and limitations, and make the bottom line understandable and useful.
The Evidence Edit — the written evidence hub.
Each Beyond the Buzz episode has a corresponding edition of The Evidence Edit, featuring the full transcript, complete references, and a clarity poll.
Designed for curious adults who want to go deeper, it makes the research transparent and easy to revisit — what people are hearing, what the evidence supports, what remains uncertain, and how the evidence was weighed.
How the evidence works.
Every episode distinguishes between what people are hearing and what the evidence supports, while adding the context needed to understand why the buzz resonates.
Beyond the Buzz Media™ follows a clear Evidence Integrity Framework:
• Hype: the headlines, viral posts, marketing claims, and public conversation shaping the buzz
• Evidence: research, data, and authoritative sources matched to the question and weighed for quality, consistency, applicability, and limits
• Why the Buzz Resonates: the psychological, cultural, practical, emotional, algorithmic, workplace, economic, commercial, or institutional factors that can make an idea compelling — context, not proof
Media, speaking & partnerships.
Beyond the Buzz Media™ works selectively with organizations that value clarity, evidence integrity, and responsible communication.
Tara is available for media interviews, speaking engagements, selected workshops and strategic advisory work, and evidence-aligned partnerships.
Speaking themes include evidence interpretation, scientific communication, communicating uncertainty, and making complex evidence useful for real-world decisions.
Commercial relationships never influence topic selection, evidence interpretation, editorial judgment, or bottom-line conclusions.
