Beyond the Buzz distinguishes between what people are hearing and what the evidence supports — then explains what holds up, what remains uncertain, why the buzz resonates, and what that evidence means for the decision in front of you.
The same standard of rigor applies across Health, Tech, Culture, and Business. The evidence design and data source may change with the question; the standard does not.
Every factual claim is supported by a credible, traceable source. Stable sources are linked where available; unstable or ephemeral hype content that cannot be linked reliably is described accurately and transparently.

Beyond the Buzz uses an Evidence Integrity Framework to examine both the public conversation and the evidence behind it, while keeping their roles distinct.
Hype Sources (H#)
Viral posts, headlines, influencer claims, press releases, lifestyle content, marketing claims, and other public conversation. These show what people may be hearing and help define the buzz around a topic.
When an unstable or ephemeral hype source cannot be linked reliably, its content is described accurately rather than presented as a verifiable source link.
Evidence Sources (E#)
Depending on the question, Evidence Sources may include peer-reviewed research and systematic reviews, official statistics, administrative or behavioural data, authoritative government, regulatory or institutional sources, transparent market or workplace data, and other primary evidence capable of supporting the specific inference being made.
Evidence is weighed for fit to the question, methodological quality, risk of bias, consistency, precision, transparency, applicability, conflicts of interest, and important limitations.
Open-access sources 🔓 are prioritized where available; paywalled sources 🔒 are clearly identified.
